Re: strength training, I'm doing a lot of leg work; for the upper body I'm sticking to lighter weights and lots of reps. #strengthwithoutbulk

Glad you're getting out and doing what your foot will tolerate. You'll be back on the trails in no time. Looking forward to sharing more miles with you. I tend to bulk up, though, and this alone makes running harder. You may have a different experience. IMO, it must be done.
My rehab: I can jog, slowly, around the top of QA. Foot is still swollen and stiff. Running with the group would be impossible.
Can't say I'm sad to hear about the Big Island delay. Selfish! But I hope it happens for your sake.dpchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13075556261012545535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11755608.post-7099860569905403782019-11-26T18:28:11.286-08:002019-11-26T18:28:11.286-08:00Thanks, Jana. We are planning a Big Island scouting trip for the first part of 2020.

I'm enjoying getting back to the weight room. Early on the gains have been quick, since there was nowhere to go but up. It'll be interesting to see how this arc will continue.

I appreciate the kind words and hope I can spin up a few more blog posts before the end of the decade!

MCMspaceneedlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18048730291915823954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11755608.post-28362433693005824712019-11-26T15:46:53.698-08:002019-11-26T15:46:53.698-08:00Oh my word! I really hope the holiday is relaxing for you, but... can I also be a cookie taster?! I may not be as good at it as you, but what I lack in skill I make up for in enthusiasm.

I am super bummed to hear about the Big Island delay. Crossing my fingers the delay is not long, and that the extra time turns out to be valuable where you are (as I'm sure it will be).

YAY WEIGHT LIFTING! I love it and hate it. Ha! But nothing helps my back and knees get through running and HIIT like consistent resistance training, so... the gym it is. Hmph.

I love your blog and can't wait to read more!Jana L.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05800108310524668793noreply@blogger.com
