this is what i'm telling myself...
***********
there's no time to grieve.
an extended period without healthcare coverage for this family is unacceptable. there can be no tolerance for risk on this.
finding a new job ~ with good benefits ~ is the only priority. the personal, the processing, the grieving,
has to wait.
***********
i'm on my
feet and moving.

When we got the axe, we chose to do al ump sum payment for a year coverage of BCBS Blue Advantage program. It most closely resembled our former coverage at Nortel, and we paid it out before we had to time to use it elsewhere. Don't know what you've got on the west coast, but look for something like that. Cobra costs a fortune, and really doesn't cover anything. If you get a job quickly, then you can decide if you stop the bridge coverage or let it run out and then go for the new stuff.
thanks, dolly. good advice. i will look into it and see if we have anything comparable here.
